Hi everyone & welcome!

We’re Katie and Aleaha, the candidates for 2025 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, and we are so excited to introduce our team, Team Cure Wave!

 

 

As proud Robinson Secondary School students, we wanted our team to reflect the strength, unity, and passion of our school community. Many of our amazing team members are also from Robinson, making this campaign even more meaningful to us. We chose the name Team Cure Wave because waves grow bigger with impact and spread across the globe, and that’s exactly what we hope to achieve. Our goal is to make a lasting impact in the fight against blood cancers, creating a ripple effect of awareness, advocacy, and support that reaches far and wide. The name embodies our vision of inspiring change and spreading hope to cancer patients and their families everywhere.

 

Our team is working incredibly hard, not only to raise funds for this important cause but also to focus on LLS’s mission pillar of advocacy. We want to go beyond fundraising and truly advocate for the cancer patients and families who need help the most. Through our efforts, we hope to amplify their voices and bring attention to the challenges they face, while spreading awareness about the critical need for cures.
